From my limited exposure of the series I do recall Kakashi being a badass, as most people with one eye are. This is a five figure set featuring characters Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi and Gaara from Naruto Shippuden. However, if you have some extra money laying around you can spring for the game plus an Amazon exclusive action figure set. Amazon has two deals going, one being a metal keychain when you preorder the standard game. If you like headgear then you'll want to preorder with GameStop where they'll be offering a baseball cap with an orange Naruto symbol on the front. I'll admit I attempted to get into the Naruto series, but the formula was too similar to the repetitive nature of Dragonball Z and it just wasn't sticking. Regardless of what I think, the series is a hit, I mean why else would they come out with what seems to be an endless stream of video games?Įnough of what I think, here is what each retailer will be offering this fall. Naruto Shippuden: Dragon Blade Chronicles is no exception including some cool collectible trinkets at both GameStop and Amazon. I give the game props for creating an original story that stays close to the source material and for the excellent voice acting.This holiday is going to be silly with new releases and along with them are preorder bonuses. The game is fairly easy and seasoned gamers should have no problem plowing through this one during a rental. From start to finish it took me about 10 hours. The character Even with the horrendous, game killing, show stopping, slow down I did my duty and played through the entire game. Graphically Dragon Blade Chronicles is decent but not outstanding. You can easily equip four different nunjustu powers, ranging from Naruto Naruto and Sasuke have the ability fight their enemies with their blades (Dragon Blades are used instead of standard ninja weapons as part of the storyline) and their ninjutsu. Itĭragon Blade Chronicles is a 3rd person action game and at times it feels like it desperately wants play like the God of War series. A local ninja clan is attempting to control dragons (called Genryu) in order to destroy the world. If you watch the series on Disney DX and havenĪs for the story itself, it is surprisingly good if you like the Naruto style of storytelling.
If you are still interested in the game after that warning then please read on, as the game offers up an otherwise decent take on the Naruto universe.ĭragon Blade Chronicles takes place in the later part of the Naruto Shippuden storyline and is a standalone side story written specifically for the game. This is because the game suffers from slow down so bad that it sucks the life out of this game and makes it nearly unplayable.
